Ms. Angel was born in Washington D.C. and began her ballet training in Springfield VA with Ballet Russe Premier danseur Oleg Tupine and his wife Tania Rousseau. At age 13 she was given a scholarship to study at the Joffrey Ballet School in New York City. In 1980 she was invited to join the Joffrey II Dancers. In 1982 Ms. Angel was admitted into the Joffrey Ballet where she danced in works by Choo San Goh, Robert Joffrey, Twyla Tharpe, Kurt Joos, Mark Morris and Agnes de Mille. During her time with Joffrey Ballet, she also danced in such pieces as Paul Taylor’s Cloven Kingdom, Jiri Kylian’s Dream Dancers and The Forgotten Land, Pilobolus’ Untitled, Frederick Ashton’s Monotones I and Les Patineurs. In 1987 Ms. Angel was asked by Edward Villella to join his newly founded Miami City Ballet where she danced as a soloist until 2001. In Miami City Ballet, she performed such Balanchine Ballets as Scotch Symphony, Apollo, La Source, Serenade and Tarantella as well as Paul Taylor’s Aurede, Anthony Tudor’s Continuo and Lynn Taylor-Corbett’s Surfacing. Ms. Angel has most recently been on the dance faculty at the Miami Conservatory as well as the New World School of the Arts.
Ms. Angel is also the Community Programs Coordinator of  "Broadway Bound"  musical theatre and Community Dance.
