EC Glass High School
Boarding students at Virginia School of the Arts take their academic classes at E.C. Glass High School. Founded in 1873, E. C. Glass has a long tradition of academic excellence and is often cited as one of the very best in the nation.

VSA students take four or five classes each semester at Glass and are granted fine arts and physical education credits from dance classes at the Virginia School of the Arts. Academic Advising is the primary responsibility of the Guidance Department at E.C. Glass. However, VSA’s Admissions, who is the liaison officer with E.C. Glass, is also available for academic counseling. It should also be noted that the majority of VSA students earn honors grades at Glass and are frequently cited as role models by their teachers.
