Male Ballet instructor

Full-time male ballet instructor for the Virginia School of the Arts Pre-Professional Residential High School Program and Summer Dance Intensensives:
Primary responsibilities include teaching intermediate to advanced levels of ballet technique, setting classical repertoire and/or contemporay ballet choreography and participating in departmental activities. Opportunities to choreograph original works for the performances exist throughout the year.

Secondary responsibilities, desired but not required, include expertise in teaching two or more of the following disciplines: Jazz, African, Latin dance styles, Pilates, Body Conditioning, Gyrotonics, Kinesiology and Anatomy for dancers. Canidates should have a significant record of achievment as a performing artist and as a teacher in a pre-professional program or in higher education.
