The Festival will host more than 1400 participants for a weekend of master classes, workshops and performances. A wide variety of dance forms will be offered including ballet, modern, jazz, African, musical theatre styles, rhythm tap, and improvisation. University, college, and summer dance programs will be available to provide information and recruit students.
VSA students will be performing "Bits and Pieces" choreographed by faculty member Lisa Thomas, "Reflections" choreographed by faculty member Dominique Angel, and "Vanity Amazon" choreographed by VSA senior student Anthony Silver. VSA will be performing on each of the three evenings at the Gusman Theater in downtown Miami, as only one third of the 280 participating high schools were chosen to perform, we are very proud of this achievement. All of our students will be dancing in one or all of the pieces.
