Jim Patterson

Jim Patterson, a native of Lynchburg, received a Bachelor's degree in Art from the College of William and Mary and a Master's degree in Art from Radford College. For almost 20 years Mr. Patterson worked in the field of commercial art, producing artwork for magazines, advertising and show, and taught art and art related courses in classes and workshops in and around the central Virginia area. A faculty member at Central Virginia Community College, Mr. Patterson teaches Drawing, Painting and Computer Graphics as well as Art History and Art Appreciation. He has been teaching the Arts and Humanities section of the Exploratory Arts for VSA since 1998.

Mr. Patterson also serves as VSA's in-house Massage Therapist. He is a Nationally and State certified Massage Therapist with twelve years of experience working on athletes and dancers.
